Completely dude, the swing vote is essential to a win. But that's now starting to change - they're becoming a dying breed, as younger voters are not connecting with Republicans on a lot of social issues and ideas. Add to that the Latino vote having to deal with some pretty racist bullshit from some of the candidates, and feel pretty alienated to put things mildly.

It'll swing back eventually, but not with most of the candidates that they've put on the debating stage this presidential cycle. No small feat to top last cycle's clowns.

In light of what happened in Paris (and more recently San Bernardino), a temporary injunction due to insufficient vetting isn't necessarily the end of the world for the bleeding hearts (while it could very well be for innocent bystander citizens). Chicago and Toronto are now on the target list after all:

                    Re: Donald Trump

So Obama is here in Argentina.. I'm listening him speaking and it's quite clear his oratory and all.. very easy to understand his ideas and concepts (agree or not) generally speaking, but one question (imo) made him sound with doubts or at least less clear than all of the other answers..

What do you think about the possibility of Trump winning the presidency and why lots of americans sort of "buy" his ideas and concepts considering how crazy they sounds for the rest of the world?

Thought it would be interesting to hear your inputs on this because i think is a valid question.. And every time i listen Trump speaking i cant imagine why would anybody might choose such an irresponsible person to take care of your country.. Really hard to believe.

Maybe Obama is not the best president you can have but comparing with Trump...

                      Re: Donald Trump

                      Trump won't win.

He's too polarizing a figure for the Republican party, and it would be the Republican establishment committing suicide if they did. Think about the people he'd have to work with - Paul Ryan, Rince Preibus, Mitch McConnell and others who hold office in the legislative branches - they'd never be able to work with him, and would cause a huge fissure in the party that's already happening.

The Republicans are in a very precarious position - they're almost verging on what could become a split in their own party with the nominees that are making it to the top with Ted Cruz and Trump, and that's partly because the Tea Party has taken them further right than they have before.

The reason Trump is getting as much press as he is, is because his outrageous statements sell air time and units. Swing voters are the people that decide the elections, and I highly doubt they'll go with Trump. If he gets the Republican nomination, he'll drive the Republican brand into the ground. If they do a brokered convention and give the nomination to someone else, the Republican party will likely face a split.

                        Re: Donald Trump

I feel like America is being trolled right now.... Donald Trump is a celebrity, a reality tv celebrity, and a larger than life figure with fantastical ideas and an enormous ego. He doesn't represent the majority but he does represent an angry portion of America who loves a rich angry white man who they can relate to, regardless of what he really stands for. Having said all that, he basically is guaranteeing a Hilary Clinton presidency. But social media makes it seem like Trump is extra special, he's not. Don't buy into the bullshit.

It was fun while it lasted...

If Trump wins the republican nomination at least he (almost) certainly won't win the presidency. Cruz on the other hand...

Between Donald Trump and Ted Cruz, Trump is the lesser of two evils - Cruz's new popularity should worry us all | Voices | The Independent

Not only does Cruz flat-out refuse to acknowledge the existence of man-made climate change, but he also claims Christians can’t be terrorists and doesn’t believe in the constitutional divide between church and state. And when it comes to healthcare, President Cruz would happily drag America 30 years into the past just to satisfy his own curious belief structure.

Cruz can't even get his own party behind him - other members of his own party in the Senate hate him.

He'll get demolished by whomever the Democratic candidate is. The Republican is basically trying to decide which bug they're going to have to eat.
