For as many times as I have been there, that city has an incredible ability to make you feel so (socially) small it's incredible.

Forget Millionaires, it's a city meant for multi-millionaires. I have a relative who lives on one of the Fronds of the Palm islands and just driving down the main artery is like walking through a super-car car-show. Aston Martins, Ferraris, Lamborghinis are just sitting in the driveways of some of the houses.
