                            You have to UNTICK that checkbox for your linked pictures to show up properly. Otherwise I suspect the board software downloads the picture locally and turn it into an attachment (that's what I understand from the dialog box anyway).
                            I tried and did some editing to the URL to try to get it to work BUT IT DIDN"T. Even though it seems like it should but it didn't

                                            I don't get you, so did you untick the check box when entering the URL? That's what I do all the time when posting pictures and it works.

                                            Alternatively you can simply highlight the picture on its original page, ctrl+c or cmd+c, and ctrl+v/cmd+v into the post editor box, WYSIWYG lets you do that.
