I never had any problems with Ebay either if I bought stuff from regular members or power sellers.....most things I buy are not too expensive and if something I want costs some money, I use a safety system of Ebay. I don't know if this is available in all countries but here you can send the money to an Ebay account first and lower your risk of loosing the money as you have more influence than when you send the money on your own directly to the seller....

Yeah i remember him downloading from me on SLSK some live sets. And he is a big GU poster. At least, i always see posts from him. If its the same guy.
You should contact eBay, their assholes to deal with but if you put enough pressure, you can maybe get them to do something.Peace

Sorry you've had this happen to you mate. I 've had very good luck in using E-Bay. I'm sure you check the sellers feedback before bidding.
I do that all the time.. not a garauntee it'll be smooth even if they have a 100% positive feedback.
I've even done some record trading on my own. Directly with people over in the UK and it still went smooth, scary at some points but he got his vinyl and I got mine.Comment

I got my decks and mixer off of ebay. Out of 80 auctions won, I got screwed twice. one record was 1.99, and one was like 15.00 or so. So no complaints really. I do reccomend, if going for big ticket items, look for very high number of positive feedback, not just 100%. And if the person has alot of gear for sale, and has catalogue type photos for it all, I wouldnt bid until I contacted the seller before hand. Its easy to get pics of cdj800's from a website, and put them on ebay, and say you are selling them for 400.00 or 500.00. I saw a seller a few months ago was selling Technics 1200's and cdj800's. the auctions were ending every other day. What was strange was, the item descriptions for the 1200's were the same, yet the pictures were different, one pic was for an MK2 one was for the MK5. Both looked as though they were taken from a web site. And they were being sold at a ridiculous price. I dont see this seller on there anymore.Comment

alas I too got ripped off recently...and due to EBay's policy I won't be able to get the full refund back so I'm out about $150....if I get the money back (which technically I should, but Ebay can be a real pain sometimes on fraud claims)
was trying to get a pair of CDJ-500's...apparently the seller used/lifted someone else's name, phone #, and email address...FM
