    the new beer thread

    current favorites anyone?

Chimay has remained a consistent favorite of mine for the past 6 months or so and I don't see that changing any time soon. Always seems to have a taste that is better than I remember and just a great all around beer.

When I'm not feeling like something has intense as Chimay, this Royal Jamaican Ginger beer is excellent, especially when it's hot outside, or I have a lot to get done the next day. It's different than any other beer I've ever had and certainly feels healthier too.

I bet you shit your face off with that Ginger beer. When I drink Ginger Tea it makes me go 4x a day.

no - in fact, ginger has no effect like that on me at all. I put raw chunks of it in my smoothies even. Sounds like you may have an allergy

Maybe. But I love the stuff. I put it in my juices as well.

Allergic or not - it's going in.

Im so boring lately, I don't even have a new beer to talk about.

Different foods hell different beers have a different effect on my stomach. But anyway - I assume you've tried the 3 types of Chimay

Chimay was my gateway beer away from american adjunct lagers in college; it's a timeless classic.

I´m a big fan of microbrewers´ , but if I have to go for a bottled beer, these are the best:

                Chimay
                Duvell
                Grolsch
                Franciskaner (or so...)
                Paulaner
                It´s a spiritual thing!

I think I might start drinking Mill st.

I hear the organic is really good.

i really like this small brewery about 20 minutes away from home:

and this one brewed in the big D is PHENOMINAL. highly suggest if you see it, buy it:

Should I fuck you at that not until the ass, inject then tremendously hard bumschen and to the termination in the eyes yes?

I'm really partial to Belgian beer - but Ten Brewing Co just opened near where I live, has some pretty unique flavor a I've heard from friends. Trappists beers seem to be the ones I always go for though.

I go for the lambics- Cantillon, De Cam, Drie Fonteinen, Tilquin.

                          I'm more into Hefeweinzens

I love that syrupy sensation with bubbles going down my throat ( i hope this didn't arouse anyone )

Anyways from all the hef's i tried i got to say the best ones are:

                          Erdinger
                          Weinhenstephanner
                          HB

Has anybody tried mixing beers? This was a mix that a long time beer buddy recommended me to try.

Rasberry lambic + white allagash = bliss!!!

I've only tried mixing for a black and tan, or snake bite (cider and I forget) but never those 2, sounds really good though.

wow - thanks for these - i love lambic's actually but I haven't heard of these yet! I'd like to have a beer tasting this winter with some friends, these would be a great addition.
