      Re: Question.

Good for you Jib, glad to see you are getting out there bro. Wish I could play in Florida.

I am playing two gigs right now on a regular basis. One is a monthly residency at a local bar where I help do a night.

The other is a partnership with a fellow dj friend that lets me come and spin with him on his Saturday gig that he has.

Playing out has really helped me get a feel for things that you don't think of when you're at home practicing.

I have had a weekly thurs night residency for 3 years. Still going strong.

I also do first sat's of the month at a different club.

The rest, just one offs here and there when i get the chance.

Just wondering...how many of you DJs still play vinyl as opposed to CDs?

                        Re: Question.

I only play vinyl now at my house. The last four or five times I've played out...I've played cd's. They are just so much easier to carry.

I still spin vinyl at my house. But that's about it. I digitize the songs that I like and then spin them on the cd's.

I'm looking to get a Monday night event started here. But it may only be a monthly event. Which would still be cool. Monthly events give you the chance to not get burned out on them. That and it gives you more opportunity to get people to show up for your gig.

^ Good Luck with getting your event started. I don't really have the time to play out. Usually I just stay at home and dj.
