06. Daso - Ashvem Beach [Bedrock Records | Beddigi72]
“Music and love are the most important things in my life, and this message I want to spread through my songs. Love not only to people but to all kinds of beings and things.” - Daso
Daso Franke was born in Poona (India) and at the age of five was using the dance floor of his father’s disco as a playground, growing up with the music of Miles Davis, Jimi Hendrix and radio pop. Now, living in Berlin, this multi-talented music producer, live act and party machine, is one of the most exciting artists to emerge in recent times on the never-ending rollercoaster ride that is the modern electronic music circus. He is now set to make his emphatic debut on John Digweed’s Bedrock Records with two stunning creations.
“Bold and Bold” with its sensuously seductive motifs, deeply hypnotic groove backbone, all hallmarked with Daso’s defining elegance and style, is perfectly suited to Bedrock’s forward-thinking creative ethos. In the same way, the energetic, yet subtle throb of “Ashvem Beach” mixes acidic undertones with ethereal beauty into a stunningly effective concoction that is both refreshing and mesmerizing.
If you haven’t had the chance to witness Daso’s live performances, they come highly recommended. From emotional house, that can abruptly and unexpectedly morph into rave hymns and powerful techno, he controls the crowd by creating ecstatic moments through perfectly timed changes of style. Daso is a rare talent, an extraordinary artist and performer, whose Bedrock debut will surely be lighting up dancefloors everywhere for many moons to come.

02. Dave Angel - Orion (Original Mix) [Bedrock Records | Beddigi71]
Referencing one of the great fights of Greek mythology, Dave Angel’s two new titanic Techno tracks for John Digweed’s Bedrock duel for dominance, in what is undoubtedly a supreme return to the label from the Godfather of the UK’s Techno scene. Set for release in the time whilst Scorpio is the current and reputedly the most powerful sign of the zodiac, it looks like the stars are aligned to perfection.
“Scorpion” has already featured exclusively in Eats Everything’s BBCR1 Essential Mix, recorded live at T In The Park, and is set to fly. Built around a sophisticated, multi-layered, hip-swinging groove, its ever-evolving, hypnotic, melodic bounce builds magically through a series of stunning breakdown crescendos into a totally mesmerising and unforgettable masterpiece.
The subtly powerful “Orion” takes a deeper, but no less impressive melodic route to total groove engagement. Interspersing proceedings with teasing vocal snippets and subtle euphoric synth swells proves to be another a winning formula. Both tracks demonstrate exactly why Dave remains such a driving force today, having evolved and matured stylistically over the years, since his early heart-stopping techno outings more than 2 decades ago now.
The son of a jazz musician, Dave Angel’s first musical instrument (appropriately) was a drum at age of eight, so it’s no surprise that he developed an ear for a good groove. Since entering the consciousness of the techno community in 1990, he has pretty much remained there ever since. Although he’s London born and bred, he has been making records like he's from Detroit with a distinctive twist of funk and jazz for years. Dave Angel is one of the scene’s true characters, giving off an aura of positivity like no other, a kind of warmth that you cannot fail to feel through his exceptional, uplifting music. You have two classic new examples here - enjoy!

03. Oliver Huntemann - Pech [Senso Sounds | senso013]
Oliver Huntemann always delivers - especially on his own Senso imprint. After two decades at the forefront of the European scene, to see his name on a record gua- rantees deep and deeply accomplished techno with a precise, refined production and high-definition details.
Both tunes on this double-header live up to the billing. 'Pech' is a masterclass in the selection and combination of tone, texture and the thoughtful treatments applied to them. A long two-minute build paves the way for a sustained bass tone that teases the listener with well-timed pitch bends. Elements unfold and flower organically as the tune reaches its climax of dancing synth lines.
'Schwefel' takes a voyage into more eerie territory, full of echo and distant music- box pings. Huntemann balances these delicate melodic sounds with gritty synth repetitions that finally win the day to deliver a surging, stirring and deeply memo- rable roller.

04. Marco Resmann - 100 [Upon You Records | UY100]
One hundred. Three digits. Finally we've made it and we're proud to announce that we've reached a milestone that every label aims for: the one hundredth release in a continous sequence of catalogue numbers. And what a journey it has been over the course of the past eight years.
To celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime event no-one less than Marco Resmann himself comes up with a dedicated 12 single that's not only named '100 but also comes as a special gold vinyl edition plus gold label prints and seethrough packaging that makes this record stick out amongst many in each and every vinyl lovers collection as well as in every DJ case.
The original version of '100 is a big room monster of a TechHouse tune, providing maximum tension through scattered shakers, carefully arranged synth sweeps and long, strident build ups introducing dark, psyched out and proggy bass and midrange warps leading towards an ultimate climax whenever this tune is hammered through a club rig.
On the flipside we see the 'Jubiläums Mix' of '100 following intense spiralling basslines all through the course of the night whilst layers and layers of ecstatic stabs and a continuous swell of uplifting, positive synths introduces crowds to high-octane levels of buzzing dancefloor energy. What a blast.

05. Theo Kottis - UFO (Michael Mayer Remix) [Moda Black | MB047]
Michael Mayer, Komapkt founder, producer, and globe-trotting DJ is a man who knows a thing or two about total-club-manipulation. Mayer's been let loose on Moda Black's Scottish sensation Theo Kottis' new single and the result is a sublimely dark floor filler. The "UFO" package, set to beam into stores worldwide on November 27th is backed by another great mix courtesy of Spanish producer Sau Poler.
His remix of Kottis' "UFO" remix is classic Mayer — a yearning, evocative, haunting and haunted chunk of emotional techno that pulls at the heartstrings while commanding the audience to dance into submission. It's a charnel house anthem in the making, a delicately desiccated future classic. Check it out in full below.
