Re: John Digweed - Live in Montreal
Got it today, digital copy... and im just listening the whole thing nonstop, will see how it goes... First one going well this far
-------- Edit
- Lovely selection and vibe on the first one, flowing perfectly into second one.. loving it so far!
- Just finishing mix 2.. how he is building things up is ridiculous, maybe one or two meh tracks but super great stuff so far.. 10/10
- Mix 3 done.. near the end it looks like he's getting his stride ..Some gentle deep and groovy sounds with impeccable flow ... Can't say it is better than expected just because its what i expect from this kind of Diggers..Strong 10/10 for me
- Mix 4 ... By now some darky solid sounds are coming through gently here and there but following progressively the vibes of this (so far) melodic journey so they are fairly welcome.. Fully home listening friendly, which is very nice. I would be happy with these sounds in the venue as well.
- Mix 5 .. Things are getting pretty serious, keeping it tight but fresh.. Classy up and down, some tracks are well known pearls that are meant to be part of this... They fit so well... Seems like no vortex on the near future but things looks ok, no hurry (?) ...not for me, i love what is going on. Still good for home listening
- Ok with the last one.. definitely worth to buy, that is all i can say. So easy to listen... Even considering there is a lot of class music everything indicates that something more is about to happen..
At first listen i can tell this will be kinda epic... Listening straight the whole thing is the best way to do it.
respect, for me it is 10/10Last edited by AchtungBaby!; February 26, 2016, 03:51:44 PM.

Cats are fed, it's just past three PM, I'm home from work (booked an early shift for this Friday wayyyy ahead), food is soon ready, beers are cooling in the fridge, some snacks for later bought, a new book set aside to be read while this plays.Forward thinking house musicComment

Got my copy today. The only other I have is London. Then I noticed that you can get Miami, Slovenia and Argentina all for £15. What's a girl to do?Comment

Re: John Digweed - Live in Montreal
Argentina is really great, Miami is OK, but Slovenia is really in an acquired taste. I bet it sounded great at the venue but, not really suited for home listening. Too monotonously banging.Forward thinking house musicComment

Re: John Digweed - Live in Montreal
Yeah, listened it through in one sitting last night. The only time I can see myself doing that again is in a long car drive. It's a fantastic mix though. Looking forward to seeing how it works in short rations during next week's walks to work and back.Forward thinking house musicComment
