Stephen’s day in Dublin is always a mighty celebration and what better way to enjoy it than with a man who has dedicated the best of his years towards the love of techno.
Dave Clarke is considered the ‘Baron of techno’ (christened by BBC Radio One’s John Peel) and it doesn’t come without reason. Playing almost every weekend in and out and spinning for more than three decades, he’s gained an ensemble of different skills along his way, which make him worthy of throwing it down with the domain’s finest.
Clarke has countless accolades to his name including ‘Essential Mix’ of the year way back in 2000 and he’s made a conscious, constant and impressive effort to bring new names to fore. With his radio show White Noise broadcasting from RTE 2FM and his frequent trips to the White Isle, he’s become an honorary Irishman. No better way to close out the Christmas period than a festive feast of techno alongside the Subject & Abstract crews at the Opium Rooms.
