I found out about this from Phil K's website. Once again Zabiela reveals the tricks of his trade... Some really cool vids. Thanks for sharing JZ!

Re: Check It!
i just watched 2 of those clips and it just reaffirmed any doubts i had about this boy, i'm sure it is very clever and thats some very nifty fingerwork but what a fucking racket, i would rather listen to cats fighting than hear that noise in a club. Mad stuff indeed, any more of that and it would drive me fucking mad!Comment

The past couple times I've seen him I thought wow, okay he's building, grooving going along nicely... then he goes into this whole "trickery" stuff. I thought it took away from his set. I think he's a GREAT talent, and Im not putting him down. Just stating that at least for me all that stuff doesn't work in a set.Comment

Re: Check It!
I am going against the grain on this one, but I like the added trickery in the mix, especially if its well timed and appropriate... To me, it sort of ups the ante against most of the DJs out there that do straight up A to B mixing (not that anything is wrong with that). Knowing that a DJ is doing a little something "extra" makes the live experience that much more fun.
Just my two cents...For your aural infusion of Caley:

for all of the various tricks he employs, there is always some point in time where he first figured it out and was experimenting with it.... to the point of doing it too much.
a good example is when he first used the cdj1000 to loop really small sections and adding some delay to make these huge builds. for a while, he was doing it every other track.. or at least thats how it felt.
but with all of them - once hes essentially mastered how to do them, he manages to use it subtly and as a more fluid part of his djing.. and that is where he shines... those are the sets that people who dig him think about when they think of what he is capable of.Comment
