In late December Sultan began doing a fun remix of Dire Straits "Money For Nothing". The main intention of the mix was to have it ready to be played at the Miami Music Conference at his gig at Space playing after Tiesto.
Once he had finished the remix, he realized that "Money for Nothing" was actually in the same key as Deep Dish's Flashdance, and the result was a remix of dire straits mashed with flashdance.
A week later, Sultan sent the remix/mashup over to Sharam from Deep Dish who fell in love with it and played it at every show. Sharam then contacted Sultan and told him how the track had such a great impact on the dancefloor and that he thought it might be a good idea if Sultan were to try to work the Flashdance vocals into the mix.
And so after a month of working the mix and communicating with Sharam to make it perfect, Sultan came up with "Flashing for Money". No further information on the remix/mashup can be given except that you will all be seeing it, hearing it and hopefully getting your hands on it officially very soon.
Tune back in for the latest updates on Flashing For Money!
I recently just heard the new track. And it's ok but it's way too drawn out and long. I dig it up till about the 8 minute mark, then I get bored of it. It seems to not really go anywhere after that. It's as if Sultan decided to mash both of these songs together and didn't care for time constraints.
