Scientology creeps me out...I lived in Clearwater, FL a long time ago and their "church" (i'm sure they have more than one, but I guess this was one of their world headquarters) was located by the beach in downtown Clearwater.
They own a big hotel building (converted to a dorm) and no matter what time of day, you see these people walking around in dark blue slacks and light blue shirts. A lot of them had ribbons on their shirt, just like the military. We're talking like 50-100 of them at any given time.
Even at 3am coming back from drinking at the beach bars there were that many!
I was like WTF From what I understand, the "church" owns most of downtown Clearwater, thus all the businesses. The businesses operate 24/7 in support of the "church." What they do and how they do it, I don't know and don't want to know.
They just fukn creep me out...you gotta see this to understand what i'm talking about.
