    Other Genres: Breaks

Habersham is currently recognized as a leader amongst the new breed of talent that is sweeping the world of electronic music. With this said he has already ensured himself a role as one of the major artists of the future.

While at the healm of two record labels Blueprint Recordings and Lobotomy Recordings he has managed to create a prolific discography. He has appeared on labels such as Audio Therapy, Institution Recordings, Music Is Freedom, Acute Recordings, Mixturi, M-Theory, and CP Recordings. With all of his hard work he is quickly gaining recognition as a hard-working, driven individual who's skills are not limited to just producing or DJing.

Under the Blueprint name, Habersham and Numinous have also been responsible for bringing to Atlanta such artists and DJs as Phil K, Sean Cusick, Chris Micali, Steve Porter, and many more. Together they also host a monthly Proton Radio show, the Internets internationally acclaimed house radio station. His original productions and remixes have received heavy support from John Digweed, James Zabiela, Dave Seaman, Danny Howells, Sander Kleinenberg, Sasha, and Timo Maas to name only a few.

Stylistically, his DJing and production tastes cross many boundaries ranging from all areas of house, breaks and progressive music. His audiences have come to expect a unique ?Habersham? sound, which fans from UK to Mexico, North America to Australia, and across Europe have all embraced enthusiastically.
His music has been featured on over eight Kiss FM and Essential Mix radio shows, and can also be found on such CD compilations as Renaissance presents Therapy mixed by Dave Seaman and Phil K, Bedrock Breaks vol. 3 mixed by Meat Katie, the critically acclaimed Balance 004 mixed by Phil K, and Way Out West?s latest album/mix CD, Don?t Look Now on Distinctive.

?Every now and then a track comes out which raises the game of its particular 'genre' by a few notches. In my view, Habersham's remix of Pat Foosheen's 'The Unthinkable' has kicked the standard of the more progressive side of break beat through the roof. With the exception of a handful of records by long established producers, this is the best track I have heard in the last two years.?

Jon Lisle ?Bedrock Breaks - 4/27/2004

?? Habersham shows us why he is the hottest producer of this moment and why he will become one of the biggest names in the near future.?

Kevin Bazell, known more popularly in dance circles as Kazell, has infected the American club scene with his unique brand of electronic dance music, stimulating crowds everywhere with his tough, funky and soulful grooves.

A UK native and LA transplant, Kazell first arrived on US shores in 1991 and began infusing elements of the Mancurian acid house movement into the fledgling dance music scene on our side of the pond. He first gained notoriety in Atlanta as a favorite local resident at Liquid Groove. Kazell then relocated to Los Angeles in 1999. Kazell quickly established himself with residencies at the largest events in the West Coast, the legendary Liquified events and LA?s mega-club Spundae.

He has become a tremendous asset to the dance music community, always working the crowd into a frenzy while pacing his music to complement the guest DJs and their time slots. In a short time, Kazell has set the bar for resident DJs across the nation. He has consistently been handpicked to perform with massive headliners including Sasha, John Digweed, Deep Dish and Sander Kleinenberg. Recently, the LA Times dubbed him as the ?hottest thing in warm-up,? a testament to his special ability to manipulate the energy of the music in ways that are always exciting, innovative and intrinsically intriguing to the fans. After first working with Sasha & Digweed on their U.S. Northern Exposure Tour in 1995, Kazell was also chosen by John Digweed for a guest spot on his prestigious Kiss FM radio show. In addition, Kazell was requested to be the opening DJ when John recorded his Global Underground 019 album at the historic Mayan Theatre in Los Angeles.

Over the years, Kazell has been credited as a master of setting mood and building suspense in his DJ sets. He has earned the loyal support of DJs and fans alike - garnering a nod as one of the Top 5 DJ?s in LA Weekly?s 2002 Music Awards. Kazell?s sound blends various styles with a tough, uplifting and funky vibe of soulful percussive beats, angelic melodies and rhythmic waves of Electro-funk, House, Tribal-trance and Breaks. His eclectic mix and unique infusion of sound has drawn clubbers back to the club from one weekend to the next.

Kazell is now bringing his keen understanding of the organic relationship between the music and the clubbers on the dance floor into the studio. His recent collaborations with production partner Mike Hiratzka will soon launch a series of 12? releases, beginning with ?Prime? on Velocity Records including remixes by Quivver and ?Reaction? on Alternative Route Recordings. Their work has such strong appeal and creativity that Vanguard Records took notice and asked Kazell & Hiratzka to remix Sinead O? Conner?s ?My Lagan Love.?

Kazell is widely recognized as one of America's brightest talents and his popularity has been growing steadfast. Kazell will release his debut mixed compilation CD ?Driven? with Velocity Records subsidiary Black Label on September 23, 2003. With DJ tours in the UK, Japan, Germany, plus an extended US tour in support of the album release, it's easy to see why he has drawn the attention of the world?s top jocks, promoters, critics and clubbing fans alike. Keep an eye on Kazell - his music and passion for the dance music scene guarantee that he will constantly be driven to new heights.

    Biography

Michael Donaldson AKA Q-Burns Abstract Message is one of the United States' most dynamic and eclectic DJs. His sets have been moving dancers around the globe for many years now and Q-Burns' fan base includes many die-hard devotees. His sound is that of a big party going down, unique and diverse house tracks glued together by pure funk.

Donaldson has been DJing for over ten years. Inspired by funk pioneers such as Kool and the Gang, Earth Wind and Fire, and Marvin Gaye, Q-Burns sought to move his crowds with current house sounds in the spirit of classic soul music. His DJing style developed during extended stays in San Francisco where he found himself influenced by the 'good time + anything goes' attitude of his friends in the Hardkiss and Wicked crews. Now, Q-Burns DJ sets are tightly wound coils of funk and house, with Donaldson himself found moving and waving around as frantically as the dancers on the floor.

Q-Burns Abstract Message's DJing career has had many impressive highlights. Q-Burns has toured as a DJ in the US with artists as renowned as The Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, Gus Gus, Josh Wink, Meat Beat Manifesto, and Lo-Fidelity All Stars. He has also toured internationally in such countries as England, Germany, Iceland, Chile, Australia, and Russia. Q-Burns Abstract Message was actually the first US DJ to ever play in Siberia.

With the June 2001 release of his second album for Astralwerks (Invisible Airline), Q-Burns' fan base will grow even larger. His DJ gigs will also include many exclusive remixes from the album as well as unreleased tracks.

    Name: Nick Dalagelis
    Location: New York, NY

    Name: John Dalagelis
    Location: New York, NY

    Website: www.nickandjohndalagelis.com

Born in Philadelphia ? USA, and raised in Greece, the Brothers Nick and John Dalagelis had the first taste of electronic music in 1993. Drawing inspiration from numerous styles of electronic music and established artists such as Sven Vath, Pete Namlock and experimental groups like LFO, The Orb, F.S.O.L. and Autechre. Both brothers began a vast record collection and together dj?ed at many underground parties.

Staying open minded, Nick and John found themselves carving the airwaves of SKY, KISS FM Ioannina and Super Thessalonica (Greece radio stations ?95-99) expanding their DJ skills into electro breaks, experimental to drum & bass and trance. Their versatile sets helped shape what was known as Dalagelis Brother?s Sound!

And that was only the beginning of electronic journey of two brothers. Decision to take the challenge even further, John entered the 1998 DMC Championship in Greece. Against the odds, John scratched and cut up Fourth Place, adding to this decisive award he has also picked up Star of the Night and Best Young DJ. The DMC momentum helped John secure the DJ position with well-established live act - Universal Trilogy. John?s turntable skills were incorporated into the band?s electro-fused tech with drum & bass and live vocals. Touring through Europe with Universal Trilogy, John suddenly found himself opening for Orbital on the Two-City Electron Festival 2000, performing in the front of over thousands of people. As if this man's rap sheet wasn't long enough, he also graduated as a sound engineer from the French Institute of Pasteur and worked for Benzoil Studio (owned by Universal Trilogy & Xaxakes).

Nick has been a fan of music all his life but never took this as a profession until four years ago. From the point when Nick moved into the studio with John, he?s been focusing more on composing the music and pushing the creative boundaries of new sounds. Nick is the mastermind behind the build ups in their music and spends many countless hours in the studio, perfecting the art of the Dalagelis sound.

Now both based in New York, Nick and John have created the DALASOUNDS Studio. This is where the brothers have been producing original music together for the last four years. Focusing on progressive-tech grooves and break beat. Nick and John?s production style can be best described as a combination of lush atmospheric sound scapes along driving basslines and hypnotic percussive rhythms.

Leaving the best impressions and being supported by DJs likes of Dave Seaman, Chris Fortier, D ? Fuse and Hector Romero. Nick and John?s debut release FAT OSCAR / GOD IS GREAT entered Balance Pool Chart creating frenzy on the dance floors around the world. STEL AND GOODNEWZ - FINE LINE (NICK AND JOHN DALAGELIS MIX) and STEL AND GOODNEWZ - PARTICLE (NICK AND JOHN DALAGELIS MIX) have been riding high in charts all over the world. Climbing all the way to the First Place and Top Ten at Tune Inn, 3Beat, Release and Balance Pool Charts.

Nick and John Dalagelis can be found performing at clubs and events throughout New York and on airwaves of Downshift Radio and Eccentric Beats (internet radio stations).
