He's no Bowie - but for a decade or so he was untouchable.

I remember when he became "The artist formally known as Prince" (it was funny) such a free thinker

always thought Sinéad O'Connor sung that originally... shows how little I know about Prince's genre...whatever genre it is, I wasn't ever into it... obviously. But he seemed like a true artist with a good heart.

O'Connor sung it, Prince wrote it. At the time it was released (1990), it was pretty unique for that era. You were likely too young. It won MTV Music Video of the year!

I use to play "U Got the look" on my sesame street record player, no joke. Sad to hear about him today
