Reminds me of eating soft-shell crab in Baltimore. But way more extreme!

What are you talking about? Soft shell crabs are mmmm tasty![/quote]

They are tasty, the but the "soft" shell isn't as soft as the name implies. And you're eating the whole creature. I felt like I was crunching through unshelled shrimp. Still, it's not like a lobster shell.

        LOL

Try eating snail kebab in Ghana...I tried, but had to give up. The Okro-soup (slime-soup) was very edible tho, and fun to play with too: dragging snotty lines from 50 cm long by dipping my fingers in and then lifting my hand up above the bowl

Dude, you have no idea how utterly and completely envious I am. I want to travel so bad, but life just doesn't permit it right now. I sit and think about all the remote places in this world and the about how absolutely breathtaking vistas like the pictures you posted are out there, just waiting to be enjoyed. You have totally solidified my resolve to travel and see as much as I can of this world. Glad you had a kick ass time.

You gotta understand, coming to visit you in KC would be an unbelievable, epic adventure to me right about now. I am so sick of seeing nothing but Jacksonville, FL I'm about to lose my freakin' mind.

                        thanks all,

glad i could inspire a few. it took a LOT of effort to get to somewhere like that...if you put in the travel time though, you will definitely be rewarded with places few have seen.

you only live once, so go for it.

I thought the mountains were strange too. Then, I go to Revenge of the Sith for the first time yesterday (yes, I know I'm late), and there's those same mountains 3/4 of the way through the movie. Must have been the same area.

                                Mmm, soft-shell crab.

I'm off to Nepal and Tibet for 20 days late August (Tibet now being in the People's Republic of China), so am really looking forward to it. Looks like you had a blast.
