    FAO Americans....

Why do you always put the dates the other way round?

Like September 11th is 9/11 and not 11/9?? I know it's hardly anything major, it's just annoying when trying to work out when something was actually recorded.

Its not a problem for me. I actually sort all my sets the European way because most of them come from other countries. 2004-06-29. Like that.

Its just American's trying to be different, the rest of the world uses the date format above, and we have to be different. Just like with the metric system, both of which, should be changed in this country.

i don't know why it's like that, but whenever somebody asks for ym birthday on a form they always ask for the mm/dd/yr. I have been following this format since as long as I can remember, it just comes naturally.

Maybe it was done just to be different than the rest of the world. I've gotten used to it now. When I came here as a child I asked myself the same question but I figured America knew best...

I've worked with foreign companies for so long that even though I lived in the USA all my life I always write the dates dd/mm/yy.
