That's BT for me these days. Crap.

this music is genuine and original, and made to fit the scenes of this movie. and he did a great job with it. for you to say its unbearable and not up to par is ridiculous.
you should give it a listen on its own, and then decide.
its impossible to hear everything he's done by just watching the movie.
now drink a beer and reconsider.Comment

I love soundtracks (good soundtracks, I mean), and have a very nice collection of them. I love composers like Angelo Badalamenti (David Lynch), Nino Rota (Fellini, Coppola), Bernard Herrmann (Hitchcock, Scorsese), Ennio Morricone (Leone), Yan Tiersen (Jeunet & Caro), Pink Floyd (Antonioni), Ryuichi Sakamoto (Almodovar), RZA, Tom Waits (Jarmusch) and many others that I find inspiring, so I'm not critizising just for the hell of it. I seriously dig the genre and think he is not a good film scorer, IMO of course.
Now drink a beer and reconsider.

I'm hoping this is just a phase he's going through since he's "made it" big time. Oakie "made it" and hasn't come back...
The one thing I have to say is the Sasha & Digweed have "made it" and they never lost their path to what makes them great. Their style may change here and there, but they have been consistent.
Props and full on respect for Sasha & DiggersComment

i can accept your criticism better now.
it just bugs me when someone bashes something when they have no idea what it is really all about.
imo, bt isnt the greatest composer or scorer by any means.
but i think he did a good job on this project.
lets both have a beer and, well, another one after that.Comment

i've read the cusick's article, and i think he has gone way out of the line, which i think is not a smart thing to do when u have a name in the scene.
i don't support hipocresy but if i have nothing good to say about someone, i'd rather not say anything at all
last thursday i went to the bt's show here in buenos aires. it was really good.Comment

Re:: BT Lately?
IMO he is a good producer for the type of music he normally makes. He deos know his shit being a classicly trained musician. Though it's a bit trancy for me, he is good at it. As a dj, he is shite as far as spinning records, couldnt beat match when I saw him in Tampa about 3 years back. I saw him in Orlando about a year and a half ago. He did a semi live set mostly on Ableton. Did a good job, though he played all his own stuff. His new cd, well, the one before his Monster, Emotional Technology was waaaaaay too pop top 40 like. But I think once you start doing music for N'sync, that's not a good sign. again.. IMO.Comment

Re:: BT Lately?
Personally, I didn't think the soundtrack to Monster was that great, and BT was not the right man for the job. The director was not approaching her film the right way. He does know a lot about music though. By the way, Monster is a fantastic movie! Charlize and everybody else that acted in it is very good.Comment

The movie was great, and I personally enjoyed the soundtrack, plus I love the fact that he released it in DTS in a 5.1 surround format, When played in that format the music really envelops you and takes you to a different place. I enjoy the DVD quite a bit.Comment
