Re: Britain leaves EU
immigration was a hard selling point that the leave campaign pushed hard, it appealed to the miss informed and uneducated massively, the problem is not migration as migration usually is people of fit working age who come here to work and contribute to society the problem is business has caught onto the fact it can make more profit by offering these people lower wages than they would a british national, most spunk trumpets will shout the slogan "british jobs for british workers" without realizing this then go onto tell you that if we take control of everything we'll suddenly compete with the likes of china on the world stage, its just not going to happen... we've already completely out priced ourselves out that kind of competition.....if you went to another country and couldn't find work there what would you do ? personally i would go home
i,m completely sickened at the way this country is going on the politics side of things, its starting to become seriously far right wing, now they want to control the border with a point style system like australia has, not going to happen, to do business within the EU you will have to agree to the free movement of european nationals across the border, this has been proven as countries that are not in the european union that still trade with the EU have to agree to this.... what makes britain so special that we wouldn't have to agree to the same, thats right, NOTHING... we just gave up our democratic rights to influence those kind of rules within europe, basically were about to be fucked in the ass for doing so.Originally posted by TheVrkit IS incredible isn't it??

But they will be complaining when the value of their house drops, the interest rate forces the monthly mortgage up and they realise that the 350 million that was going to Brussels had no affect them what so ever.Comment

Re: Britain leaves EU
350 million a week was a misleading figure and shows you just how the leave campaign conducted itself over the whole campaign, the figure was more like 161 million which is still a lot of money but what we got back far outweighed the cost, farage goes on about how we save 10B a year now and that goes into the budget but when you consider overall expenditure per year and that this will have to be spread across the whole of the country its hardly this huge dent that is going to save britainComment

Re: Britain leaves EU
the poor/lower middle class are affected by immigration due to immigrants wanting to assimilate and thus working more harder hours for less pay.. to which the corporate suits are happy about. this combined with the poor/middle class inability to afford decent schooling above high school (or sometimes 2-year college) level which leads to the inability to retrain themselves for other jobs or industries, they are unable to move. thus, this is all aggregated into a feeling (personal responsibility out the door) of being pushed out and given up by the government and also the rise of racial prejudices.
social bigotry (# of reasons but mostly due to religious interpretation) only plays into this like puzzle pieces that were meant to fit together. the fucking politicians know this and are playing the card perfectly, eg. the birth of Drumpf."pics or stfu" - R.I.P. Steve "Jibgolly" JamesComment

i feel like this 'brexit' (hate that term but whatever) thing is very similar to what is happening in the US, so i will opine on my view from this side of the pond on the US..
