    Tones Biography

Emerging as one of the most promising new progressive house DJs in Sydney; Tones? blend of deep hypnotic house and fluid breaks has caught the eye of many. This has seen him secure regular spots at Sweetchilli, Musica, Movement and Stay'in Touch. Recently Tones has featured on Proton Radio?s .Audio (http://www.inthemix.com.au/fm/19487/), ITM-FM (http://www.inthemix.com.au/fm/18251/, http://www.inthemix.com.au/fm/20021/ ) and is also a regular on the Club Foote show on national broadcaster Triple J.

His dedication to his art is evident in everything he does. He is always striving for the new sound and constantly browsing other genres for inspiration; resulting in the right music for the right moment. Personally edited tracks allow him to mould his sets into one sculptured mish-mash of deep grooves, haunting vocals and contagious energy.

For the past year Tones has been concentrating on his production skills, and has been very busy in the studio to some success. Recent tracks have received plays from breaks outfit Sound Alliance (Renaissance) and captured the attention of Steve Gerrard (Bedrock) and Jody Wisternoff (Way Out West). There are many projects under way with production work due to be completed under the various names of Tones, Aural Seduction, a co-production with Vance Musgrove (M.O.S / EQ), two tech house projects with Robbie Lowe and Punchdrunk respectively and also a down tempo side project (with Erik Miehs from death metal band "The Amenta").

As one half of Aural Seduction (alongside his brother, Max Plowman), he?s been very busy on many new studio projects and they recently produced a track ?18hrs? with Melbourne?s super talented Jono Fernandez (Electrofly / EQ). The track had a great response with support from John Digweed and Hernan Catteneo, with Hernan playing ?18hrs? twice and Aural Seduction?s latest track ?Dark Clouds Over Oslo? on his Metro Radio show. This support has seen ?Dark Clouds?? signed to new Australian label Stigma Recordings, and has also undergone a remix by label boss, Ryan Papa. It will be released in the near future alongside tracks from future stars Paolo Mojo and Can Costa.
