if you are talking canada...

its beautiful, laid back, and very outdoor orientated. there is alot of rain, though you get used to it i'm told. there are also some of the poorest streets in canada with some serious drug problems (but they arent hard to avoid).

all and all, its one of the best cities in the world to live in if you have a decent job (read: its not the cheapest place to live).

Vancouver is a beautiful City. It's the closest place form Portland, Oregon to make it feel like I am in Europe. I pretty much know the downtown area on back of my hand. Great night life and culture is rich. If you want specifics ... I can give you them. Yes, even the "coffee" shops. and a code to a door where you can hook up.
