        Re: Transformers

my bet is that micheal bay is going to screw this one up ... i agree that he is good at directing big budget action films that people get to see something get blown up every 5 mins but those movies although fun to watch does not have any substance in them

transformers is more than just a big budget substanceless action flick .. i know lots of kids grew up watching transformers regiously back then and have wonderful memories of the show

having speiberg on board doesnt do anything i reckon, since he has already screwed up in my books with war of the worlds. lets hope im proven wrong in 2007.

Try watching some of the stuff coming out of Korea. Oldboy, JSA, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, Attack the Gas Station and tons of others are fueling the truth that Korean cinema is the most original and exciting place for films to be coming out of lately.

live-action? i can't imagine it. the last manifestation of transformers i'm aware of was some jungle cat thing.

the original movie is great. orson welles' final flick. i think he died before it was done and leonard nemoy had to finish the voice of the planet eating robot...

I've been saying for years that Hollywood has run out of ideas. It's all sequels, remakes and video and comic book movies now. And lame ass romantic comedies, but they've always been the same movie anyway.

All of that said, I'm all over a live action Transformers movie. Who knows how sick shit will look by then. This movie could be mind blowing........visually at least.

I hope it will be at least decent. Transformers is a childhood classic. Anyone know what the storyline will be?

Some robots transform here and there to cars and tanks and save the world. End of story.
