ooh Malwarebytes customer I work for them. miningbots have been a huge issue for us as you can tell.

looks like someone might be using the site to mine coins, i'll be damned if i'm letting my browser mine coins

How the code is injected seems more pertinent.

I have chrome with the ublock origin extension and havent experienced any of the issues mentioned.
