    but no one got to see him play because he was from Russia. He was a damn good passer and shooter even for as old as he was when he played for the Blazers.
    actually he did not want to play in the NBA. he was a super power in the Euro league. He came towards the end of his career. and yes he was a great center. he was an amazing passer and he could pull Shaq from the paint. my fav.

      Yeah, I remember hearing he was pretty much a one man team. So why did he end up coming here if he never wanted to??

        i am not sure. money i believe. i know his parents were pretty sick and I think he just wanted to cash in on his success. plus of course ... NBA ring.

              I can understand the money thing, especially if his parents were sick, but why wait so long. He didn't come till he was what...35?? If he wanted to cash in you figure he would have come alot sooner...in his prime at least. I always thought it was some kind of extortion/mafia thing.

                He was a P-town fav. People loved him. He would do promos for the Blazers and his English was just terrible ... it was a blast having him. That shit would crack me up.
