    IE help

    the bar at the bottom of IE that displays address of links when you over the mouse over them has vanished... any ideas how i get it back?

    View -> check Status Bar

      i don't know how they're named in english but i thing if you go to the top of the page under "view" and then click on "statusbar" it should apear again

                That is the most assinine suggestion, dude. All Windows-based programs have some form of Status Bar functionality. Heck, even non-Windows applications have this.

                Browsers like Mozilla or Opera also have their toolbars vanish occassionally (all via JavaScript and pop-up windows). The issue isn't even an IE-specific one.

                No offense taken, but that response is does not even relate to the question. Maybe you should read it first!
