This is actually not a too bad film. It's more of a throwback to the days where an action movie meant you were going to see some crazy stunts rather than having someone in front of a green screen running away (and getting away) from CGI explosions. Whalberg is pretty decent in it. Andre 3000, while he has an underwrtitten part, manages to convey some decent depth and Tyrese Gibson manages to be one of the most charismatic parts in the film (he's now three for three - 2 Fast 2 Furious, Flight of the Phoenix and now this).
As for the film itself - it's a standard revenge film, but with a decent amount of gunplay and car chases to make things a bit better than usual. John Singleton (who directed Boyz In Da Hood, Shaft, Rosewood and Higher Learning) could make a pretty decent career for himself doing action films.
