there is some decent elctro out there,

if you are really interested, check out the presslaboys and their label presslab, its based out of italy and does electro with a groove, not just the sound effects. some of the stuff of tomeii's label (saw) is going a bit electro too.

i still like the sound because it works in the clubs. as i dj i have to use what gets people on the floor or else i wouldnt get gigs lmao....but i agree, its starting to get played out

It's a valid discussion, but OTOH it does come up every other day.

I suggest we put some sort of sticky at the head of the GYY forum for the Electro vs Prog debate. People should most definitely be allowed to discuss music in this forum, don't you think?

I just woke up. I work nights. I'll agree with Sightless. Electro in my opinion BLOWS and I couldn't HATE it anymore if I tried. Maybe I wouldn't hate it so much if all of my fav. DJ's weren't spinning it. No disrespect towards you or your taste in music. Just a hatred of the genre.
