Wanted to see if we could have an honest dialogue about the Pro's & Con's of the Trump presidency. Obviously he's not in DC to pander to anyone or be much of a politician in the traditional sense.
pros:
The economy being the # 1 issue (for most people) he seems to be doing a good job. I can't say I fully understand the implications of the different trade agreements he's blown up, but I have to think they are mostly symbolic gestures signaling a major change. Clearly certain industries will go through some major growing pains. I also like that he's helped the music industry through artists rights to make more money on streaming etc. As far as healthcare goes, I like to see our country taking better care of our veterans before making it a right for everyone who is on American soil, legal or otherwise. Having lived in Southern California for some time, I can say that the illegal alien issue is pretty bad, in terms of their eagerness to work for a fraction of what it costs to live decently by American standards. As far as migrants seeking exile from dangerous living conditions, I do think once properly vetted they deserve a chance to make it in America, but that is such a contentious issue, it's difficult to even consider. Not being extremely partisain, I like to think he will bring the 2 parties together in one way or another. More later..
cons:
the environment. hoping he does a 180 on that soon.
tweeting. although I can appreciate the occasional transparency from the potus, I'm glad it's less frequent.
Inciting violence - that shit needs to stop from both sides now.
more later....
