Watching the impeachment vote, I don't understand Rep Jim Jordan's arguments that impeachment doesn't bring the country together, that he'll soon leave office peacefully, that the Republican party is for law & order, etc. NONE of that applies since he did NOT uphold his oath of office and broke the law. He talked about double standards, but how is the president not going to be held accountable for breaking the law? If he's not, there's the freaking double standard.

With so many PACs disassociating, banks, companies, etc. I think it's more dangerous for these Republicans to vote not to impeach, but more so because he betrayed his oath, inciting violence in which 5 people died and more injured and he's turned on the very government he swore to work within. It's ludicrous what these Republicans think they can get away with & they're very passionate in their views....disgusting. And I watched it with an open mind.

Can't believe that I've been gone from this website so long and was such an asshole about politics in this forum BEFORE Trump, that I don't think I've commented once over the last 4 years of this disaster.

Anyway good riddance, almost time for Trump to go, and hopefully here is more to me being on MS in the future.
