i always liked the photo books that came with the longbox editions

the first disc of this one was decent, didn't really care for the second one. didn't get the book edition

i really enjoyed Baumel's GU... hope to listen to it again soon. i was initially scared of it due to having about 25 tracks on each cd but highly recommended.

I might be one of the only peeps on here that likes James Lavelle's contributions (except #37 - that shit was inexcusable), but I think this was an absolute masterpiece for him. Fantastic listen from beginning to end, but feels more like a movie soundtrack than a conventional dj mix/compilation.

The Patrice Baumel is growing on me. I haven't been in the mood for too many DJ mixes as of late, but I think I'll appreciate it more on a few road trips this summer.

I enjoyed Baumel's mix, especially CD1. CD2 had some moments but didnt stand out as much as CD1 for me.

Pleased to see it appear on Spotify (which I subscribe to). Wish a few more electronic CDs were on there

Listened through this one twice in the last few days. I preferred disc one.

Overall I found this to be good not great. I felt at times the tracks were coming in and out so rapidly that the music never gets a chance to breathe and settle into a groove. My other negative comment would be I didn't feel the overdubbed percussion on disc two was necessary as it didn't add much to the tracks themselves.

All that said I am happy GU is back and I will be on the lookout for GU043!
