trouble downloading MS files

fao:MS guys

this week and last week when I try to download the sets from the MS downloads section, after i put in the password and it launches the small download window, instead of automatically starting to download the file to my desktop it jumps back to the download page and nothing happens.

is something changed since last week at all, as I have never had this before.

if small window opens still . does it have yellow bar giving a warning asking if u realy want to run this file ect.ect. cos u just got to click the bar to start dl

What browser are you using? You're the first to bring this up in a while, so I'd imagine it's some sort of setting in your browser.

thanks skahound - you hit the nail on the head - i was using internet explorer on a mac. i tried with safari instead, and thats fine. cheers for that!

now my only problem is getting the kiss mixes i missed from last week...

Whats up guys.. For some reason I cant d/l cattaneos sets and Greg benz special august mix. When I enter the passwords gives me an error.

Not sure mate, I just tried each of them with the passwords listed on the page and they each downloaded fine.

i can't download either.
my mac broke so i'm using my girl's Dell POS.
anyway, password goes in, no pop up. tried both IE and Firefox, both have pop up blockers off.
any ideas? it does recognize when i put the wrong password in

Looking at the download numbers I would say that this is an isolated issue. I will try to download on my wife's laptop as soon as she gets home. Is anyone else having problems?

how do you disable the pop up blocker that is w/in the service pack?
ii don't know shit about windows, but i remember seeing this issue on the old forums pretty often

use firefox ... i'm on windows and i download fine with firefox ... IE just give too much problems

Tools, Internet Options, Privacy tab,

• a) uncheck Block Pop-ups, or
  b) Click the Settings button, type www.mercurynation.com and click the Add button.

also on IE make sure you havn't got multiple toolbars for eg. yahoo. msn.( you will have to turn off popups or allow mercury on each of them too ) also settings for cookies in internet tools could be causing probs too . for some reason mine is tempermental i can try to dl it won't then when i log out of mercury and log back in later it's fine . but i prob guess thats' just my fuckedup comp

if it is just a popup blocker there will b an icon flashing on top or bottom of tool bar
