    is [ms]2 slower than [ms]1 ?

i don't know if it's just me, but it seems to take much longer to load the pages.
havn't really noticed it before because i have a broadband connection in the office.
but at home it seems slower then ever.

    Just you.

In fact, since the latest server-auto-shutdown, [ms]^2 has been very quick with response times. I think it's just because of the architecture of PHP.

PHP just doesn't perform as well as other scripting languages after several thousand people visit a site. If LAMP (or WAMP) had better memory allocation functionalities, then PHP would truly catch up to the ASP/ASP.NET/JSP world's capabilities.

(If you're lost, then the answer is simple: it's all in your mind.)
