almost done with CD 3 and it is my favorite thus far.. CD 1 was a little underwhelming if i am honest but it may not have been my expectation as he had Tara Brooks open

Re: John Digweed's new Live In: Output

I agree about CD 1. I liked the beginning, and then the middle bit where it sounded tribal-ish I wasn't crazy about. But the last 20 mins he ramped it up only to drop the energy in CD 2. On to CD 4 now. So far I'm finding it quite uneven and it's not blowing my mind. CD 5 and 6 will have to be miraculous to pull off a Vortex at the point.

I prefer tighter, more linear programming with a build up leading to peak time, vortex, and a classics epilogue.

I got pics and video. But I will upload them in the morning. I need to smoke this nice phat joint and just close my eyes and replay the amazingness in my head.

Ripping my CDs to MP3. The CDs have more tracks than the digital version I think. Wonder why?

Any chance you could post the cue files or timings, I always like to use them with the continuous mixes in the digital bundle.

I've been to two of his NYE parties and they are always a bit.. i dunno.. lacking flow in a way, only because he sets the standard so high in general.

Still, technically brilliant.. ccan't wait to hear it

Afraid I don't have the digital version. Just the CDs. Maybe you could work it out from this. https://www.discogs.com/search/?q=di...utput&type=all

The digital mixes and the CDs match up this time. I managed to find 4, 5 and 6 on the freedb website, so hopefully the rest will go up soon.

Also I really enjoyed the second, third and fourth discs, but five really lost me. Hoping that six finishes things off strongly.

i enjoyed the whole thing, it really ebbs and flows. some real wtf moments in here. most surprising thing for me was how much groove there is in the tunes and mixing. some of the best parts for me are the subtle subtle stuff in the mixes. i would love to hear the rest of the set, but not holding my breath

re: tracklisting, i think at least montreal finale had a track or two that were cleared for the CD release but not the digital one. there's also a mix of onspec - knights of columbus on the other nyc set that isn't in the tracklists anywhere i think http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/...D-from-Disc-5!
