gu have james lavelle because they can tap into a different audience. his background with owning mo'wax and doing the unkle project with dj shawdow and others are reason for him to be on goo.

that doesn't mean he's a good dj tho.

Re:: Dragging the Global Underground name through the mud

Hmm...GU23 is actually one of my favorites, I like the fact that it?s different from the others, and I sometimes would like to see GU get a bit more risk-taking (but not with Lavelle again).

I?m a bit biased though, I love both UNKLE albums...

            Production - yes.

            Live act - NO

Boring and floor clearing, he would make a good cleaner.

I've seen him play live and he played remarkably well, and made a very memorable impression on people in Toronto. He's here on Friday and I can't wait
Score so far: Owned ZoverTard 8 times - twice in one week! Twice more in same weekend.

More than six months later - he's still pissed LOL - check the last visitor - guess who the last visitor is on my profile page.

              His newest incarnation this week:♫♫♫♫♫♫

I have never seen him live but I have always enjoyed the mixes he has done (although he once claimed the Psychonauts did the Cream Separates mix so I am not sure if he has done any mixes although he has given them his seal of approval)

That Cream mix (from '95 I think) was brilliant... but it was the Psychonauts who mixed it. Bloody cheat

Mad respect to James' producing and remixing skills. As for his DJ shows, I'm not rushing out to see those. Not that he ever comes to the states anyways. He sounds good on CD, and that's all that really matters for a GU release.

he is playing in L.A on Thursday...

On January 15, 2000, Giant debuted as a weekly Saturday club night and positioned Los Angeles as a tour stop for international dance music DJs and Artists that had not previously existed on a weekly basis.
