You need a "Selected Exclusive" account to listen in low quality new Transitions...Monday i'll rip it in HQ from DI. It's not a big deal, we'll have the new transitions two days later.

I've never been a Proton subscriber or listener, but I'd guess their loss of the Transitions rights was due to the fact that they used to have the "world exclusive" first play, and now they don't - Diggers choosing to go with Mixcloud instead so he makes more money from it. Maybe Proton weren't interested in playing second fiddle? DIFM have always had it a few days later, so I guess the current arrangement hasn't changed and they don't need to "renegotiate" contracts, rights etc. Could of course be speaking too soon, but I don't see how it's in John's interests to restrict the number of stations that host his show. He has, and presumably wants to retain, a global audience. Not everyone is just going to suddenly sign up for Mixcloud Select if he decides to not renew contracts with other broadcasters.

To lighten the mood, here's the 320k version of Episode #813. Just filling in for DJLellone until he can get the Special Stuff again.

My own recording from DIFM's live stream on Monday, recorded with Ripcast and edited with MP3DirectCut. Think the WeTransfer link only stays active for a week, so DJLellone can put his own version up when he's able and this will expire naturally, or I can re-upload it later if needed.

Any info on why Transitions stopped broadcasting on Proton Radio? It is, indeed, the end of an era.
