Man, I had my fair share of Mojitos, but even more tequila's this friday. Woke up with a splitting headache on saturday, it was the first time I couldn't lean backwards in the train home cos i was so going to puke if I did

Nothing that hits the spot like a nice ice cold mojito on a hot summer afternoon

Little tip though: don't use crap like Bacardi to mix it. Bacardi is like J&B: only good enough to spike your Coke with. Use Brugal (Dominican rhum) instead. It isn't widely available, but u might want to check out the distributers page to see where you can get it in your area: http://www.brugal.com.do/internacional.aspx

If you're not into mint or "leaves in your drink" (puuussssiiiieeessss), you might want to give a caipirinha a try:



1 lime
2 ounces of cacha?a
Sugar to taste
Ice cubes


Wash the lime and roll it on the board to loosen the juices. Cut the lime into pieces and place them in a glass. Sprinkle with the sugar and crush the pieces (pulp side up) with a pestle. Just enough to release the juice, otherwise it'll get bitter. Add the cacha?a and stir to mix. Add the ice and stir again.


Sometimes it's made with vodka as well, but nothing compares to cacha?a...

mijitos are great, ive only had one at a bar, where i was told there were good, but i like to make my own we i can or when frieds are making them, remember, the moijito is the only drink that actually makes your breath smell good.
