I will never go with T-Mobile because of that annoying ring tone on the commercials. It's almost as bad as that crazy frog or whatever the hell it is.

I use to hate them... then I switched to Cingular, then I realized that Cingular is the WORST carrier on earth. No customer service, well it blows. I've even not been able to talk to anyone on the weekends or evenings. I swithced back to T mobile, they have great customer service 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Now I'm happy with my carrier.

        Re: T-Mobile

My friend has Cingular and has the same problem...dropped calls all the time, shitty service. The "biggest" wireless network sure as hell doesn't mean the best.

I've had T-Mobile for about 8 months and love it. *Excellent* customer service and maybe 3 dropped call in that time span.

has anyone bought one of those Cingular Go-Phones ?
you buy 1 of 3 phones, and pay-as-you-go.
you can pay for a certain amount of minutes beforehand, or just do a limited monthly plan.
it would be great for me, cos all my conversations are less than 10 minutes so i'd never go over, or run out.

              just looking for feedback.

I've thought of that too Jibby.. seems like a good deal.
the pay plans are very comparible to the regular ones too.
you just dont get the full choice of phones.

plus they have roll over minutes. and my mates around here that have Cingular, dont have any issues. (well, with their phones that is)

rollover minutes would be awesome for me.
i wonder this, my dad has a couple extra cell phones, would i be able to start a Go-Phone plan with my own blower?

Probably not. You can call the cell phone company that you want to 'sign up' with and see if the phone is comparable. When I worked for AT&T Wireless (now Cingular) I constantly had to tell people that cell phones are, for the most part, proprietary. One that worked on the Verizon network wouldn't work on the AT&T network. Now maybe all of that was just a bunch of hog-wash intended to persuade people to fork over the dough for a new phone.

I have Sprint and never really had problems with them. In the past I used Bellsouth, which merged into Cingular...

I've had a mobile for the longest time and it seems like it's all the same shit...

I never had a problem with Sprint, but I need GSM phones so I can use them when I'm in Europe. It's all about the sim card baby!
