Sad to have to say he has died

Hola amigos . It is with great sadness that we bring you the news that José passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday night here on his beloved island of Ibiza. His family and friends would like to say thank you to everybody who sent donations and messages of support to help make his last few months easier, and to all the staff of Can Misses Hospital for taking care of him until the end.
Now he has gone and the sunset in Ibiza will never be the same without him , but the beautiful music of Jose Padilla will stay with us forever. Adiós maestro ... x

Dang. He made some great music and made a LOT of people very happy that way. Gotta watch my cafe Del Mar livestream tonight to catch the sunrise and play one of his mixes to honor his legacy ❤️

This Gofundme was the last time I thought about him, despite his Cafe Del Mar comps being the required, de facto comedown music for years of my raving days.

Padilla has seen me through some amazing and some fucked up times.

I know nothing about him but a guy who puts together music like this on an island, it's hard to imagine a mean bone in a person like that. Hope to hear him again in the afterlife.

I am very very saddened by this news. RIP.

I got pics and video. But I will upload them in the morning. I need to smoke this nice phat joint and just close my eyes and replay the amazingness in my head.

Been to Cafe del Mar many times over the years - it's not at all what you would expect. Some great memories of just chilling and watching the sun do down, knowing another night of fun and partying is incoming

For those that don't know about it. I've watched the sun come up in Ibiza a few times, but their camera isn't good enough to watch the sun...not many are. But it sure is cool to see this from my home in Ohio in the middle of the night.

                        Cheers!
