With Mixcloud Select, you are paying to "support" the artist, not for any higher quality audio. Mixcloud as a whole is disgusting. I don't understand how people use it. Not only is the audio quality balls, the interface is horrible.

I pay for Soundcloud premium, get higher audio quality & can download music if I don't want to stream them later.

Are you on Soundcloud Go or Soundcloud Go+. Soundcloud Go+ says that it gives higher quality audio compared to Go - I'm just wondering what that means in terms of bit rate.

Soundcloud Go+

It gives you AAC 256kbps which as I understand it, is mp3 320kbps. Additionally, the subscription allows you to "download" sets to your phone (within the Soundcloud app), for playback without data/wifi if you want.

i have digweeds select on mixcloud, and you can download the show to listen offline. However, I cant seem to find the file on my phone anywhere...

Renaissance uses mixcloud for there pay service, they just advertised on there Facebook that they “remastered” and put Hernans sequential on there. I commented and said i would buy it and many other masters series if they re-released them on cd but not mixcloud and said i had a personal vendetta against mixcloud. Pretty sure they deleted my comment.

Someone else mentioned that they want them to release on apple music, and they said something about licensing was a nightmare and would not be feasible money wise. Why does everyone bow down to mixcloud?

No idea man, I really hate the service & don't even use it. I don't understand how people can listen to music off Mixcloud, the audio quality & user interface of both website & apps are horrible.

Unfortunately, I'm seeing artists move to Mixcloud, away from Soundcloud, which is not good.
