How would people classify what Baumel plays? I have really enjoyed some of his sets, but there are a few that I feel are a bit bland - no real highs/lows and nothing that I think 'Wow I want to go back to that part'. This is one of those sets for me.

Melodic techno, he's an absolute master of this sound..I agree with you that he isn't great sometimes but when he's on it he's really on it, this set being the perfect example...For me he's the best 4/4 DJ on the planet right now.

I would agree I think, he is more hit than miss for me. The Audio Obscura mix from last year was tremendous. He just has a tendency to play the odd track/section in a mix that is instantly forgettable IMO
