    Dark Water

    Anyone else seen this?

Its a good movie, althought it has plenty of creepy moments but few scares its a smarter movie, another remake from a Japanese original version (from the same guy who did Ringu also adapted before) this time directed by Walter Salles, the story is good and easy to understand, it seems that the japanese director loves the water element, the beggining was a little basic for me since they focus the camera in the tank that was in the roof of the building and i notice 'THE RING' and thought about the girl locked there, and its mainly that, a girl locked there.. cant tell more for those who wants to see it!
Jennifer Connelly is defenitely perfect in her roll, and her daughter (Ariel Gade) is very good as well.

    Smarter and creepier production.

havent seen it yet, rented the unrated dvd, got it at home.

i will watch paint dry for 24 hours straight if jennifer connelly is standing in front of it, so i will probably semi-enjoy this, if only for that reason

It's a decent remake with very few surprises for the people that have seen the original. I was kind of shocked to see Tim Roth (as in Mr. Orange in Reservoir Dogs and Pumpkin -the guy that was trying to rob the restaurant in Pulp Fiction) in the role of the lawyer. Dougray Scott (bad guy from Mission: Impossible 2 and Ripley's Game) was great as the cold hearted ex husband too.

saw this last night, quite enjoyed it... nothing special, but i am not a fan of "horror/suspense" movies in general, thought this was decent. might just be because i'm madly in love with jennifer connelly.
