I've moved three fucking times this year so far - a fourth will follow if the builder who is doing up my new house gets a move on. I don't know where anything is. I hate it.

Currently putting shit in storage and crashin at a friend's place till we can find a good apartment. Our (slightly not legal) sublease ended rather abruptly and my space cadet burning man roommate neglected to tell us about it three weeks before we actually found out (that's when she was told and acknowledged it, but didn't realize it was serious... don't get me started) so at any rate, we've no legal recourse, bye-bye perfect NYC apartment, and hello home-hunting.

(for those unaware, finding an apartment in NYC is Hell on earth... after 10 years I have learned to know it is better to wait if you can until you see a place you know you can feel at home in... and this sometimes requires a waiting period (especially when you have practically no warning time) and so it goes... Luckily I have a bunch of AMAZING FRIENDS, I love you guys)

Suburbia and me do not mix well for more than 2 to 3 days. And the amount of $$$ I would spend on commuting & then cabs home from parties would more than make up for the difference... it's just a matter of finding the right place.

I'm mostly harmless, but outside of NYC I find it difficult to keep up my "private reality" without trying really really hard most of the time...

you're not the only one matey, I moved out of my apartment before I flew to India and now I have to find a new one and move into it when I return.... moving sucks balls..... and I have done it religiously every year since 2001

i hate moving.. ive moved 3 times in a years time... what really sucks is that for a while there i was the designated moving helper .. i must have relocated all my friends.. fuck tomorrow i fly to L.A. to pack my moms shit and move her down to vegas to live with me ...
