I feel your pain, my sons.

From September last year until June this year, here?s what I?ve been through :

- Moving from my house in Lisbon, Portugal to Madrid, Spain, and renting my house to my sister-in-law in September;
- Moving from Madrid back to Portugal in January, to a house belonging to my wife?s grandmother, because I still had the rent contract to my sister-in-law going on;
- Moving from that house to my wife?s parents? house in March. My own house was still under rental contract;
- In June finally moving back to my house, after my sister-in-law finally found a place to stay.

4 times in a year, two of those times changing country. And my biggest regret is that in moving from Madrid back to Portugal I had to leave 90% of my CD?s there (I have about 300...), since there was no space in the van. I?ll get them back one day, but I just haven?t had the opportunity yet...

Currently putting shit in storage and crashin at a friend's place till we can find a good apartment. Our (slightly not legal) sublease ended rather abruptly and my space cadet burning man roommate neglected to tell us about it three weeks before we actually found out (that's when she was told and acknowledged it, but didn't realize it was serious... don't get me started) so at any rate, we've no legal recourse, bye-bye perfect NYC apartment, and hello home-hunting.

(for those unaware, finding an apartment in NYC is Hell on earth... after 10 years I have learned to know it is better to wait if you can until you see a place you know you can feel at home in... and this sometimes requires a waiting period (especially when you have practically no warning time) and so it goes... Luckily I have a bunch of AMAZING FRIENDS, I love you guys)

Is queens out of the question? You will def save $

I have lived in astoria for 3 years in the past, I liked it and wouldnt mind it again if the place felt right. I refuse to go through a broker or agent, it's just ridiculous how much $$ they want for doing jack shit. I'm not sure if the clan will stay together in a new place as far as living together goes, but nobody is going far so no worries.

I've never lived in chelsea in my 10 years in NYC... hmmmmmm....
