begins with a special NYC Fashion Week gallery exhibition of In the Making: The Very Best of Fashion Institute of Technology and Parson?s School of Design Pre-Production, curated by Electric Lady Studios? iconoclastic Red Monk. Accompanied by written personal statements, adorned manikins, artist-selected screenings, drink specials and the auditory hallucinations of School of Audio Engineering?s Leisure Muffin, this intimate look at ?process? will reveal an often-overlooked dimension of fashion design, as well as a crop of designers forcefully establishing themselves as Manhattan?s cream. Come 10 p.m., lights will lower for a ?mingling? fashion show amidst an ether of seductive house music crafted by Rothko resident Posi-D, and headlined by DJ/Producers Tony Mugavero and Geoff Haselgrove of Datguy and Quadsquad (who's music has had major support from the likes of DT, James Zabiela, D:Fuse, Jonathan Lisle, Palash and more). And for those who like stratospheric BPMs, look no further than the cellar for NYC jungle legend, DarkStar and Manhattan?s notoriously hard-hitting I Love Drum n Bass crew.
