I'm currently reading 'Marketplace of Revolution' since I caught a quote from it that was used in a Newsweek article a few weeks ago. I'm only in the first chapter but it's shaping up to be pretty interesting. The subtitle is 'How Consumer Politics Shaped American Independance' and the author is making a case as to how the country, as spread out as it was and as socially diverse as it was, was able to band together and mobilize to spawn the American revolution.

Not sure if your into it but believe me - this book changes your life:

Kite Runner by Khaled Hussieni. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...s&n=507846

Its simply amazing.. 5 Stars alround... I was depressed for weeks after I read it...

If youre not into that - Im reading A long way down by Nick Hornby at the moment. Good shit as always from Nick.

I just read bill mahr-new rules last night. More of a novelty read but it was funny none the less.

I have been looking for a new author to admire for a long time, and have finally found him. If you like science fiction, try Robert Charles Wilson. I just discovered him this year and he is great. The Chronoliths, Spin, Bios and Blind Lake have all amazed me.
