Power Of Myth - Joseph Campbell w/ Bill Moyers
Fast read and totally engrossing - even if you aren't all that interested in mythology this book will still keep your attention the whole way through.

Also anything by Carlos Castaneda is worth the read anyday.

a sense of humor to console him for what he is.

The last book I read was The Secret Life of Salvador Dali by the man himself. The book is the ultimate in thought and surrealism. Salvador Dali covers everything from polymorphism to why he doesn't eat spinach, and he does it with a bang! And it`s one of the most funny books i read. I recommend u guys to read it.

I have been reading a hell of a lot of John Steinbeck this year - just finished 'The Pearl' by him and it was up to his usual high standard.

Starting 'The Rum Diary' by Hunter S Thompon tonight, heard good things about this author.

i'll add that for anyone who hasn't read it - catch-22 is an absolutely brilliant book. a must-read if ever i've read one.

Re: fao people that read books

Paul Auster is the best living American novelist that I have read and his last two books, The Book of Illusions and Oracle Night are his best works.

Haruki Murakami writes some of the most mind bending fiction I've ever read and I HIGHLY recomend him. Everything I've read by him is amazing but
Kafka on the Shore, The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, and Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World are some of his best.

peloquin - i thought catch 22 was garbage - just rambled on and on, no story, was funny for a while but then the whole drawn out anecdotes kind of bored me after about page 200
