Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer Vowed to "KILL" Google

    COURT DOCUMENTS:
Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer Vowed to "KILL" Google

News Published: September 2, 2005, 1:07 PM PDT Reprinted From CNET News.com - Written by Ina Fried

    ----- ---- --- -- - -
Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer vowed to "kill" Google in an expletitive-laced, chair-throwing tirade when a senior engineer told him he was leaving the company to go work for Google, the engineer claimed in court documents made public on Friday.

In a sworn statement made public Friday, Mark Lucovsky, another Microsoft senior engineer who left for Google in November 2004, recounted Ballmer's angry reaction when Lucovsky told Ballmer he was going to work for the search engine company.

"At some point in the conversation, Mr. Ballmer said:
'Just tell me it's not Google,'"Lucovosky said in his statement. Lucovosky replied that he was joining Google.

"At that point, Mr. Ballmer picked up a chair and threw it across the room hitting a table in his office," Lucovosky recounted, adding that Ballmer then launched into a tirade about Google CEO Eric Schmidt. "I'm going to f***ing bury that guy, I have done it before, and I will do it again.
I'm going to f***ing kill Google." Schmidt previously worked for Sun Microsystems and was the CEO of Novell.

you would be either a complete retard or a moron if you didnt want the microsoft big wigs running your company. this goes for the google guys as well, however, they have no real profit yet. money is everything in this world. and they made a shitload of it. and continue to do so. i dont care how many idiots harp on about apple and apple's hge reserve fund, apple doesnt do nearly the amount of volume or research development microsoft does.

Google want to create an operating system . They pinch one of microsofts top developers ( must of been at the top if he was dealing directly with one of the main guys) so i can understand Steve Balmers anger . They must of invested alot of money in this engineer and although he must of earned them even more money ( for they wouldn't be pissed of with him leaving if he didn't) he must be taking alot of knowledge harvested at microsoft with him.

Put me in the same shoes and id'e of reacted the same ..

lmao...that is hysterical. thats one of the best ways to hurt them, even though they are doing more than well off. that tyrade shows they arent the "superpower" they once were, and they are very afraid of what google is and is becoming.

                            developers developers developers

Yea MS definitely needs some REAL developers instead of that bunch of dickheads they got working there now. Since moving into webdesign i've found out that IE is the browser that is almost the least compliant with standards man, save for Netscape maybe. Stupid stupid stupid fuckwits.
