Re: today is september 11th ...
yeah definitely a sad anniversary, but in the last four years i think that as a nation and as a global community we are now far stronger and more determined not back down to these fucking savages
on a side note, there has been a ton of history and discovery channel shows on about all aspects of 9/11, some of them have been very well done and others have been entirely gut-wrenching. either way i think it is a very important event to document in historyComment

today is a sad day. i still remember watching the news and dropping my mug of coffee on the floor. it was the day America had her eyes opened. it is unfortunate that such hate can cause so much death. it just shows that man kind has not changed at all, even with the progression of technology, medicine, politics, and globalization. we are all still the blood thristy war mongers we always have been. i just do not want to see what the future holds. we are so much better than that. it is sad that some of us still use our primitive instinct and the words of "God" to fuel a war. such a digusting method.dead, yet alive.Comment

i was actually in new york on september 14th.. down at the WTC it was very strange..
i remember we were going to washinton on 9/11 and our bus got diverted to baltimore.... it was like 9:20 am and the streets of baltimore were empty... it was very strange being in a city with noone on the streets.. scary shit though...
ill always remember the thousands of people looking for their familys down near ground zero with all the military around.

Re: today is september 11th ...
I was supposed to fly home from Boston that morning, which is where two of the four planes came from, so I have very vivid memories of that day.
I was stranded for four days before I rented a car and drove home. But I was with my best friend and she was happy to have me around for moral support. She had many friends in NYC and was worried about them.PhilipComment

here are some pics i took yesterday from my apt window, i live right next to "ground zero" so everyday is a constant reminder to "never forget"

Nice pics mate, thanks. Brings it a little closer for those who do not live near.
An open message to whomever it may concern:
My hope is that at some point people start globalizing in the true sense of the word: in a time of more contact between peoples, nations, cultures and beliefs the emphasis has increasingly been put on differences to distinct one from the 'other'. Conformism is the death of diversity, but diversity is not to be reached by conforming to certain groups either. Step out of the box, don't be afraid to be yourself, but also don't be afraid to accept another human being as he or she is. Differences are what makes us beautiful too, you know.

Re: today is september 11th ...
yeah, sunday was rough. i didnt want to do shit and just stayed in my hotel room watching the news channels and football. another year of waking up and feeling terrible. thinking of those whom we've lost and those we loved. running down 5th avenue, heading up town to avoid the debris that encompassed the lower half of manhatten. and praying it was over. then seeing another plane. i will never forget the feeling of fear, worrying that my dad had already gotten to the towers, thanking God when i found out he wasnt. then sitting at my friends house for the day, watching the events....
