Gave this a listen through the Keakie app for the first time the other day, I was impressed by both the app (audio quality, feel & function) & the music from Rinzen.
Mix was really good but this has me thinking as well.
Is it possible there will be a shift to a total pay only model if Transitions is phased out around episode 1000? The Compiled & Mixed series for Apple (monthly) and this Frequencies series could just be test runs to replace it as the main mix plus guest mix but ones that you have to pay for.

I don't have anything solid on that one, just speculation on my part. They guy is like 60 or something.
He doesn't seem to be slowing down, if anything, he's ramped up the amount of content he provides us - I really feel the past few years, John has sensed the times & jumped on to the streaming train as a money making oppurtunity, as have many other artists.
He will probably keep going with Transitions till he retires.
I wouldn't be surprised if he has very little to do with the Frequencies series. Maybe he had the idea, maybe not, but it could all be managed by the Bedrock staff.
An ounce of image is worth a pound of performance.
