Hello Mercurynation heads thought id put these picture and short video clips up from my recent trip to ibiza, it was much much better than my visit there earlier in the season both musically and personality wise.I will apologise for the quality of the photos and videos but this is due to the fact that :
a/ i was a bit worse for wear due to certain stimulants coursing through my veins
b/ they were all taken with my sony ericsson k750i
c/ i aint no david bailey
Ok firstly we had planned to goto space but due to sasha's late cancellation we headed off to pacha for the everybody night held by Sander Kleinenberg with guest Lee Burridge. Musically it was a very good night not seen burridge for a good while so i cannot say to much about him but he was good. Sander kleinenberg was very good spinning tunes and doing the VJ thing, although i did get distracted by the dancing girls at this point i do recall him playing some tune " Somebodys been fuckin with my washing machine" with graphics being projected on the big screens mighty bizzare i can tell u
told u i got distracted by the dancing girls
anyway then next up was Lawlers Viva Night at Space recent reviews had said this night had been quiet Sasha's nights had finished so The new Terrace was the only room open but boy its an empressive space(unfortunatley i didnt take my phone out) so no pics but i remember space securitys tetchyness about pictures bein taken but it is vey empressive.Anyway got in there and Pete Gooding was on building things up then a switch to another dj booth(dunno if its temporary) for X-press 2 - 6 decks 3 mixers set up first time ive seen em so i dunno there set up but they was pretty good too i seem to recall. Thats because Lawler came on and fuckin Blitzed it he was AWWWWESOME!!!!!!!!! rudedirtytechhouse i guess u would call it, had to try and save some gas tho for Marcus James and JOHN DIGWEED!!!!!!!!!! at Pure Pacha the next night respect to PETE TONG for letting DIGWEED play such a long set its definately ticked a box off on the things to do list.
Seein digweed play pacha was such a moment. Marcus james was good although not the most animated dj i ever seen but his mixing was very tight tunes were good and he built it up nice for digweed
The place was rammed like u wouldnt believe managed to get a spot by the dj booth near the entrance BUZZING so i got to see and hear DIGWEED his set was like pretty relentless and not to much electro and some beautiful vocal tunes went and shook his hand towards the end it was a fuckin top top night.Anyway enough waffle heres the rest of the pics from the night.Rather dissapointingly the sound quality on the video clips is awful so if u get the videos watch it with the sound down.
right there u go thats it gutted to be back roll on next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
