Clear the Runway - JET to Land
The nightlife industry in Vegas just continues to grow, with new outlets planned up and down the strip. The Light Group is creating an addition of their own with the planned JET Nightclub that will open for operations at The Mirage towards the end of the year. This outlet is part of a facelift of the food & beverage outlets at The Mirage, many of which have been around since the property opened in 1989.
The new 15,000 square foot nightclub has been designed by Jeffrey Beers and will present a sleek, modern multilevel environment that will offer three different rooms, each with its own musical format. The main room will focus on hip-hop/Top 40 format, while the other two rooms will be dedicated to house music and rock and roll respectively. Scott Sibella, President and COO of The Mirage, said, "Nightclubs have become an integral part of the Las Vegas experience. With the opening of Jet, The Mirage will be home to the city's preeminent nightlife experience."
The finishing touches will also include a one-of-a-kind light and laser grid, state-of-the-art cryogenic effects systems and "the absolute best sound design technology available". Sean Christie, JET nightclub Managing Partner, remarks, "We are thrilled to be opening at The Mirage and be a part of its exciting transformation." He adds, "We are catering to The Mirage guests and locals, including the hip and trendy service industry customer looking for innovation in the club experience. They'll certainly find it at Jet. We will have all the bells and whistles to make it the most cutting-edge club in town." An added plus will be the easy access from the Mirage's West Valet. Everyone involved with the Light Group has tremendous enthusiasm for this project, that is an indication of good things to come.
